Starbucks’ new policy – No more plastic straws?
It is well-known that the amount of non biodegradable waste humans produce is immense, and we have witnessed the consequences of it already. From harming the wildlife from plastic bags to uncontrollable algae growth from nitrogen based fertilizer, the accumulation of waste has negatively impacted this planet. One company that has catched on to this growing issue is Starbucks, which has decided to stop offering plastic straws along with their drinks by 2020.
The overall idea is this: Starbucks will no longer give out those green, plastic straws to consumers. Instead, every drink will come with a recyclable, strawless lid or straws made from biodegradable material. Select stores in the United States and Canada have already removed plastic straws from their premises.
